Schedules online PDF Print E-mail

The game schedules for the 2010 St. Johnsbury Academy Invitational are now online on the competition schedule page.

One week to go PDF Print E-mail

Everything is falling into place for the 6th annual St. Johnsbury Academy Invitational!

Here's what teams should be working on:

1) Rosters: Is your team's roster 100% complete? Remember that ONLY those players that are listed as good to go on your roster will be allowed to play. If your team is found to be playing with unrostered players, your team will forfeit their games, be asked to leave, and will have a very low probability of being invited back to future Invites.

2) Housing: All hosting assignments have been sent out. All teams should make contact with their hosts ASAP. Remember to read over the introductory email very carefully that outlines the housing policies. If you have any questions regarding housing, please contact the tournament housing coordinator, Teija Green at

3) Scheduling: The first draft of the tournament schedule has been emailed out. If you have any comments or suggestions, they must be communicated to me by Monday, 5/17 at noon. After that point the schedule will be finalized.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Practices have begun, scrimmages have been had, games are underway.  The tournaments come next.  This year we are projected to have anywhere from 10-14 teams at the State Championships.  It is growing fast here in Vermont.  I want to thank Anne and Anton for redeveloping their programs at Montpelier and Mount Mansfield, and am hoping that Jake is having similar success over at Burlington High School.

This will still be a one day tournament - held on May 29th.  Josh is gracious enough to host us at the St. Johnsbury Academy.  We can't thank him (and his AD) enough for letting a bunch of cleated up kids run around on their fields just one weekend after his monstrous St. J Invite.

The cost for the tournament is 125$.  Please fill out the Bid form and mail that, and a check payable to Spaulding High school as soon as you can.  The sooner I know exactly how many teams I have, the easier it will be to format this overcrowded one day event.  If you are bringing two teams, complete a form for each team.

Send the form and check to

Start getting those kids signed up with the UPA.  I've attached the file of the Membership form - this should be printed out and handed to the kids to take care of now.  The UPA gets loaded with these every spring, so the earlier we get them in, the better.

Also, their parents will need to sign a medical authorization form signed over to the chaperone for the team - I will need a copy of these mailed to me prior to the tournament, and you need to have a copy on hand at the tournament - in case of any injury.

Lastly, the chaperone(s) of each team needs to complete a chaperone form, sent to me.

Paperwork is so much easier when it is handled early. If you need any help with this, please let me know NOW, not the week before the tournament.

Thanks

McKinnon
